5. Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

Data is hosted and processed by Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in our Privacy Policy. Specific retention periods:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Usage and analytics data: Retained for 12 months in identifiable form, then anonymised.
- Support communications: Retained for 24 months after resolution.

The Aquarium Sensei App does not use browser cookies. However, we may use:

- Crash reporting: Firebase Crashlytics for identifying and fixing bugs.
8. Automated Decision-Making
Aquarium Sensei may use automated processing to provide species compatibility recommendations and water parameter advice. These features are designed to assist your decision-making and do not produce legal effects or similarly significant impacts on you.
